Which will be the World's Best Gamay 2021?

The 11^th edition of the International Gamay Competition will take place on the 26^th January 2021 at the Cité Internationale Congress Centre in Lyon.
In 2020, 802 wines from 4 countries (France, Switzerland, Italy, England) were tasted by 160 tasters (+ 7 % of samples compared to the 2019 edition). Afterwards, a "grand jury" tasted the gold medal-winning wines to elect the "Best Gamay in the World" cuvée. In 2020, the Saint-Amour 2018 cuvée Les Grandes Mises produced by Mommessin won the Trophy.

The aims of this competition are:
- To continue to raise customer perception and reinforce the notoriety of Gamay; particularly as this grape variety corresponds perfectly to current customer demands.
- To increase awareness amongst producers, influencers and consumers of the diversity and qualities of Gamay worldwide.

Submissions of wines to the competition
Producers can enter right up to the 24^th December 2020 by completing the entry form directly on-line on the competition website: https://www.concoursgamay.com/espace/login.php.
Inter Beaujolais will reveal the results of the competition on the 21^th January 2021 and the graduation ceremony will take place on February 1st, 2021.
